1. Teaching Assistant: Neuroscience laboratory. Was a teaching assistant for the neuroscience
course taken by 1st year occupational therapy students at Washington University School of Medicine. Course
topics included... Specific teaching topics included visual and somatosensory assessment, dexterity and prehension patterns,
cognitive skill assessments, and self-efficacy intervention. Date: Spring 2007.

Seminars and Workshops
1. "Life after Brain Injury: What is it Really Like?" Taught 12 seminars on brain injury
to 5th-12th grade students at the St. Louis Science Center during Neuroscience Week 2007. Seminars emphasized experiential
activities to simulate deficts and adaptive strategies. Date: October 24th- 26th, 2007.
1. "Understanding Brain Injury and Serving
Students with Brain Injury" . Educational seminar at a school district with Peggy Barco, OTR/L, of the
Center for Head Injury Services, and Lori Brenneke of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. Educated
a group of teachers, parents, school administrators, and therapists on the topic of school reintegration for students
with traumatic brain injury. Held at Palmyra High School in Palmyra, MO. Date: October 23rd, 2007.
2. "Stroke Education 101." Designed a stroke education seminar for adults with
stroke and other brain injuries at the Center for Head Injury Services (CHIS) in St. Louis, MO and was group facilitator. Date:
September 2007.
5. "Smart Gadgets and Helpful Equipment: Make Your Life Easier." Taught an adaptive equipment
workshop to older adults living in a naturally occurring retirement community in St. Louis, MO. Workshop included
a combination of lectures, hands-on practice with equipment, and discussion of resources. Equipment donated from Medical
West Healthcare Center in Clayton, MO. Date: November 29th, 2006.
